Enrollment Information 2026-2027 School Year


Documents Required for Attendance
- Proof of Housing Form (Provided by the Housing Office upon lease signing.)
- Birth certificate required for PreK-9.
- Immunization Record (Within thirty (30) days of attendance - USD 207 Board Policy, JGCB)
- Completed Physical Forms (If the student is NEW to Kansas schools and age 8 or younger; for 7th-9th grade students participating in sports/cheerleading - sports physicals shall not be taken earlier than May 1.)
- Report Card/Academic Records (From sending school)
- Special Education/504 Records (If applicable)

Age of Eligibility to Attend School
- Kindergarten - Five years old on or before August 31 of the school year
- First Grade - Six years old on or before August 31 of the school year
If you have obtained, or are expecting to obtain, proof of on-post housing, please review the requirements for beginning our enrollment process. Prekindergarten (PreK) Program Requirements- The student's family must maintain residency on Fort Leavenworth or be employed full-time by USD 207 for the entire academic year.
- A Proof of Housing Form, provided by Frontier Heritage Communities (the Fort Leavenworth Housing Office) upon lease signing, must be submitted to complete enrollment and attend.
- Both three-year-old and four-year-old PreK programs operate on a half-day schedule and are subject to capacity limits for peer models.
- If classes are at capacity in your neighborhood school when enrollment is completed, you may be offered placement for attendance in another elementary building or be placed on a waiting list until an opening occurs.
- 3-year-old PreK - child must turn three on or before August 31, 2026
- 4-year-old PreK - child must turn four on or before August 31, 2026
- Students eligible for Kindergarten will not be eligible for PreK.
- Transportation to and from PreK programs must be provided by the parent/guardian.
- The parent/guardian is responsible for walking PreK students to/from the school building.
- Transportation Enrollment - USD 207 provides transportation to and from Leavenworth High School for students in grades 10-12 at no cost. Students choosing to attend 9th grade at Leavenworth High School are provided transportation for a fee.
Kansas Open Enrollment Information
USD 207 does not have an open enrollment policy for students living outside of the Fort Leavenworth Army Installation. Non-resident enrollment applications are permitted in accordance with USD 207 Board of Education Enrollment & Attendance Policy, JBCC - Nonresident Students.
By K.S.A. 72-3123, Subsection (n); and K.S.A. 72-3126, Subsection (e), Fort Leavenworth USD 207 is exempt from Kansas law governing open enrollment.
