Student Digital Devices

At USD 207 we realize that it is vital that the structure of lessons delivered to students evolve to reflect how 21st Century learners use technology in pursuit of knowledge. Our ongoing objective is to improve student learning, productivity and engagement by providing all students ubiquitous access to an individualized digital learning environment within the classroom.

We have iPads at K-3 grades, Chromebooks at 4-8 grades, and MacBooks at 9th grade as digital devices on demand to help accomplish this goal within a classroom setting. District/Teacher approved grade level appropriate apps and resources are preloaded and bookmarked by the technology department.

All devices connect to the Internet. We use the content filter iBoss to provide protection that enforces the Child Internet Protection Act and other regulations, while enabling mobile learning and safe Web access.

Students are introduced to their devices by their classroom teacher and the technology department. All students review the Acceptable Use Policy, discuss appropriate online behavior, cyber bullying, tech device care and responsibility.
