Presentation Overview:

The poster session highlights the process teachers go through to carefully evaluate, choose, and use technology to create mindful teaching and meaningful learning for all students along a learning continuum or tiers.

Tier I: Whole Group Technology Integration

When integrating technology at Tier I, the focus is on integrating technology that fosters student engagement.  At this tier teachers strive to plan lessons that motivate their students to participate in their learning. Examples: interactive SMARTboard lessons, online curricular videos and games, animated curricular content, and document cameras modeling instruction.

Tier 2: Small Group Technology Integration

When integrating technology at Tier II, the focus is on technology that meets and monitors targeted needs and can be implemented in small groups.  At this tier teachers strive to differentiate lessons based on students’ abilities. Examples: computer adaptive programs and  progress monitoring software.

Tier 3: Individual Technology Integration

When integrating technology at Tier III, the focus is on technology that is prescriptive and intense and supported by an interventionist or specialist. At this tier, teachers strive to meet individual student needs. Examples: remedial programs
